7SH382 is an inbred corn line intended for breeding work. The line is used as a component in the creation of commercial hybrids, and also acts as an object for comparing genetic characteristics in scientific trials, including GMO safety assessments.
Morphologically, the line differs from the widely distributed B73 line by its pink silk color and white cob. The plant is characterized by weak anthocyanin pigmentation of the brace roots, a smaller number of lateral branches of the tassel, and later timing of the mid-flowering phase compared to B73.
