The variety is a grain maize, designated in Austrian variety lists with the index D (Körnermais). During the introduction of hybrid maize in Austria, this hybrid demonstrated yields exceeding those of a number of American varieties of that time.
The variety belongs to maturity group 260 according to the FAO system. In current agricultural documents, this entity is considered primarily as historical and appears in variety testing archives.
