The B84 line is not a commercial hybrid for mass cultivation, but rather a breeding material. It belongs to the Iowa Super Stiff Stalk genotype group and is used by specialists to produce first-generation hybrids and to form initial populations using backcrossing methods.
Within the framework of breeding work, the B84 line serves as a source of valuable dominant alleles for transmitting productivity and resistance traits. Based on this line, specialized mutant forms, such as Kneja 682, have been obtained through chemical mutagenesis. The object is actively used in genetic research, including analysis using SSR-markers.
