The variety is intended for forage production and was used primarily as a silage crop. In comparative studies, Bezemara demonstrated a lower total dry matter yield compared to some other varieties, but was distinguished by high cob digestibility, especially during late harvesting.

During phytopathological experiments, it was established that the variety is resistant to Barley yellow dwarf virus (BYDV), showing no significant reduction in plant height and cob weight upon inoculation. The variety also remained free from Wheat dwarf virus (WDV) infection during monitoring.
