The maize hybrid Delegato belongs to the mid-early maturity group with FAO 250 and is primarily used for silage purposes. The plant reaches a height of 260–290 cm. The ear has a slightly conical shape, a length of 21–26 cm, and contains 14–16 rows of intermediate-type kernels.
The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to stalk breakage and lodging. It exhibits plasticity to various growing conditions and is resistant to a number of diseases, including Fusarium, common smut, Helminthosporium leaf blight, and root rots. The produce is distinguished by a high starch content in the silage and grain.
