The Devolvi CS corn hybrid is a representative of the species Zea mays L. The purpose of the variety is cultivation for grain.

Data on the hybrid's maturity group is contradictory: in official registries it is classified as mid-season (FAO 280), while in a number of commercial catalogs values of FAO 400 or 420 are indicated.
