The mid-maturing maize hybrid (FAO 290) is a three-line form with plant height ranging from 230–250 cm. The grain is of the dent type and yellow in color.
The plant possesses resistance to lodging and major crop diseases, and is also characterized by good drought tolerance. The grain yield potential under non-irrigated conditions is 80–85 c/ha, and under irrigation — 120–130 c/ha.
The primary use of the hybrid is grain production. Scientific research has examined the possibility of using the crop as a raw material for bioethanol production. Recommended for cultivation in the Steppe zone.
