The hybrid Hernád (Mv 323) is characterized by above-average growth. The ear is long with a high number of grain rows; the ear cob has a purple color, and the grain is of the dent type, yellow in color.
During trials, the average yield was 10.48 t/ha with a grain moisture content at harvest of 18.06%. The stalk breakage rate was 2.6%.
The hybrid is slightly susceptible to maize smut, and shows above-average susceptibility to stalk and ear fusarium.
