Plants of the hybrid reach a height of 220–235 cm, have light green color and good foliage. The ear attachment occurs at a height of 75–80 cm. The hybrid grain is characterized by a flint-dent type and yellow-orange color.
The hybrid has high resistance to root lodging and infection by Ustilago maydis, and is resistant to southern corn leaf blight. It shows average resistance to stalk rots and bacteriosis.
Katrin SV is suitable for the production of grain, silage, and ear-cobs-grain mass.
