The Kneja 598 hybrid was obtained by crossing inbred lines PM 4547 and Mo17. In the breeding process with the lines involved in the development of this hybrid, mutagenesis methods using NMU seed treatment were applied.

The variety belongs to the mid-late maturity group according to the FAO 500 classification and is intended for use in grain production.
