The LHE 136 line is used in breeding for the development of new maize hybrids and serves as genetic material in the creation of other inbred lines.
Morphological traits include a greater plant height, a higher ear placement, and an increased ear volume. The kernels of the line have a greater length, and the diameter of the ear cob exceeds similar indicators in a number of other lines.
