The Ph08b line is intended for the creation of corn hybrids exhibiting heterosis. It is adapted to the conditions of the Central Corn Belt and a number of other U.S. regions. Hybrids created based on this line are characterized by a medium relative maturity of approximately 115 days.
As an independent line, Ph08b is distinguished by early flowering for its maturity group. Hybrids involving it demonstrate strong stalks and roots, good general plant health, while the plants themselves are below average in height.
