Line PHJC0 is not a variety for mass cultivation and is used for breeding purposes as a crossing component to obtain new lines or hybrids.
The plants are early-maturing in terms of flowering time and have yellow grain. Morphological features include medium intensity of anthocyanin coloration at the base of the glumes of the tassel and the presence of short ear leaf extensions in a small percentage of plants.
