The R6080 line is a mixture of American and European dent lines obtained as a result of the recombination of three breeding components.
In scientific research, this line is often used as a control sample due to its low resistance to pests such as the western corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera virgifera) and the European corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis).
