The Asgrow RX393 hybrid was used for both grain and silage production. In 1999–2000 field trial reports, it demonstrated yield, moisture, and bushel weight metrics comparable to other hybrids of that time.
Plant height during field trials was approximately 236 cm. Versions of the hybrid existed that included YieldGard technology to provide resistance to the European corn borer. At this time, the hybrid is obsolete and is not featured in current commercial lineups.
