The RX508 hybrid, also known as Asgrow RX508 or RX508 YG, was part of the Asgrow seed portfolio in the early 2000s. During agronomic trials of that period, the hybrid was classified as mid-season, with a relative maturity period of approximately 103–105 days.
The plant was intended for both grain and silage production. Field reports noted the variety's susceptibility to certain types of ear rot, including Aspergillus, as well as the availability of versions with YieldGard protection technology.
