The hybrid has a plant height of 230 to 300 cm with ear placement at a level of 95–110 cm. The grain is yellow-orange in color and belongs to the dent or flint-dent type. The FAO of the hybrid is 230, with some sources indicating 280.
The plant possesses high cold tolerance during the initial stages of development. Pronounced resistance to lodging and drought conditions is noted, as well as high tolerance to major diseases such as Fusarium, Helminthosporium, common smut, and stalk rots.
There is a separate variety «Туран 170 СВ», developed by the Kazakh Research Institute of Agriculture and Plant Growing, which differs from the specified commercial hybrid.
