Nemesia plant height

According to UPOV and CPVO guidelines, the height of Nemesia is measured from the surface of the substrate in the pot to the highest point of the plant. The trait values have a wide range: dwarf varieties typically reach 15–20 cm, most ornamental varieties vary from 25 to 40 cm, and the tallest forms can reach up to 60 cm.

The height trait of Nemesia is closely related to light intensity and temperature conditions: a marked stem elongation is observed under low light. Taller forms of the crop are more prone to loss of ornamental value due to the bending of shoots under the weight of the flowers, which requires pinching to maintain a compact habit.
