Temperature control must be maintained at 24–25°C during the day and approximately 18°C at night.

Due to limited access for pollinating insects, manual pollination or the creation of conditions to attract them is necessary. The crop is extremely demanding regarding light intensity, the deficit of which reduces sugar accumulation and impairs pollen fertility. Harvesting requires increased caution due to the fragility of the stems; it is important not to let the fruits overgrow in order to stimulate the development of new ovaries.

Excessive nutrition in enclosed spaces leads to unjustified vegetative mass growth to the detriment of fruiting. Regular ventilation of the greenhouse is an essential element of care, providing disease prevention and microclimate normalization for the full development of the plants.
