Variety description

The plant is a compact shrub or small tree. At the age of 10–20 years, the height is 1.5–2.5 m; mature specimens reach 3–4 m, rarely up to 6 meters. The crown is upright, eventually taking on a rounded or vase-shaped form.

In spring, the leaves have a bright yellow color, often with a pinkish-orange margin; in summer, they acquire a lime-green or yellow-green shade. In autumn, the foliage is colored in intense orange, red, and burgundy tones. Small reddish flowers may appear at the beginning of the season.

The variety is winter-hardy, withstanding frosts down to –20...–15°C. It is more resistant to direct sunlight than the "Aureum" variety, but in hot climates, shading is recommended to avoid leaf scorch. It prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic or neutral soil.
