The variety Misty Blue (LK05) is a perennial herbaceous plant with a height of 45–75 cm. It is distinguished by the silvery-blue hue of its ternately compound, deeply dissected leaves, which persists throughout the season.
Flowering occurs in May–June with white flowers gathered in spike-like inflorescences. Decorative white berries on bright red pedicels ripen in August–September.
The plant is winter-hardy, suitable for zones 3–8. It prefers shaded areas with moist, humus-rich, well-drained soils. All parts of the plant, including the berries, are poisonous.
