The plant is a deciduous climbing vine reaching a height of 3 to 10 meters. The shoots are covered with reddish tomentose pubescence; leaves are large, rounded, heart-shaped at the base, and leathery. Flowers are creamy-white, turning yellow as they fade; the flowering period occurs in May-June.

The fruits are ovoid or oval in shape, densely covered with hairs. The fruit flesh is green, juicy, sweet, with a pleasant aroma. The variety is self-pollinating and enters bearing at 3–5 years of age. Harvest takes place in October-November.

Frost resistance is estimated as moderate, down to -17°C...-20°C (USDA zones 6); young specimens require protection. The plant requires a sunny, wind-protected location and a support. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and various types of processing.
