The variety Midnight Moon is a compact perennial plant 60–80 cm in height and 50–60 cm in width, forming dense clumps of strap-like leaves. The plant's foliage is classified as evergreen or semi-evergreen.

Flowering is characterized by a two-tone effect: deep lavender-blue buds turn into white flowers with blue stripes upon opening. The variety is distinguished by high flowering abundance, which lasts from June to September, and the ability to produce repeat flower stalks.

The plant possesses good resistance to diseases, heat, and drought. Frost resistance is estimated within the range of -7°C...-10°C, therefore in regions with cold climates, cultivation in containers or winter covering is recommended.
