The plant forms dense clumps. Foliage height reaches 340 mm, flower stalk height up to 600 mm. Leaves are dark green with a creamy-yellow margin. Umbel inflorescences consist of 26–50 tubular violet-blue flowers with darker veins. Flowering occurs in spring and summer.
The variety is semi-hardy, requires protection in cold climates, but possesses drought tolerance. Stems are strong and upright, resistant to lodging. The plant can be susceptible to viruses, slugs, snails, and gall midges. Potential low female fertility is noted.
