Variety description

A compact herbaceous perennial plant forms clumps of linear strap-like leaves. Plant height is 30–50 cm, flower stalks reach 75 cm in height. A darker blue or purple stripe is located on the petals of the funnel-shaped flowers. The flowering period occurs in July–August; an adult plant is capable of producing more than 100 inflorescences per season.
The variety is drought-tolerant, withstands windy conditions and salt exposure on seacoasts, and is resistant to Verticillium wilt. Depending on the vegetation type, it can be deciduous or semi-evergreen with frost resistance in the range of -7°C to -12°C. In regions with cold climates, container cultivation with indoor overwintering or covering is recommended.
