Variety description

The plant forms dense upright clumps of long strap-like leaves. During the flowering period, the peduncles form large umbel inflorescences with coloration ranging from dark blue to violet. The variety is a sterile hybrid of Agapanthus praecox ssp. orientalis.

The flowering period occurs from July–August, sometimes September. The variety has limited winter hardiness down to -5...-8 °C; container cultivation is recommended in cold climates. The inflorescences are stable when cut and maintain their decorative appearance in a vase for up to 12–14 days.

The plant is characterized as sturdy, not prone to lodging. When growing, it is necessary to avoid water stagnation in the soil to prevent root rot. It is used in landscape design as a solitaire, for borders, and also as a cut flower crop.
