The Horronda variety was obtained by crossing off-white and pure white strain types to combine the advantages in size, weight, and appearance of the fruit bodies. It is one of the first results of applying hybridization methods in industrial mushroom cultivation.

The fruit bodies of the variety are characterized by a smooth white cap with a low number of scales and medium thickness in longitudinal section. At technical maturity, the gills have a light brown color, and the shape of the stalk in longitudinal section is rectangular. The variety is distinguished by high fruit body density and is suitable for canning.
