The variety is characterized by an intense pink or red color in the central part of the leaf, contrasting with dark green margins. Leaf blades may have a specific metallic sheen. In indoor conditions, the plant reaches a height of about 30–40 cm.

The variety is undemanding; however, bright diffused light is required to maintain leaf brightness. The plant is sensitive to waterlogging of the soil, therefore it requires moderate watering and the presence of high-quality drainage.
