The plant has an upright shortened stem, which becomes exposed in mature specimens. The leaf blades are elliptical or lanceolate with a pointed tip and have a smooth, leathery surface. The height of the bush is 10–20 cm; the leaf length reaches 15–20 cm with a width of 5–7.5 cm.

The leaf color is characterized by a complex pattern: a dark green background is complemented by pink spots, a pink central vein, and multicolored venous markings with shades of red and light green. The intensity of the color and the development of the plant depend on lighting conditions and the age of the specimen.

The variety is used as an indoor decorative plant and tolerates semi-shaded conditions well. Aglaonema White Butterfly is a toxic plant and causes irritation of the mucous membranes if ingested.
