The variety forms exceptionally long stems, densely covered with small leaves. As a rhizomatous perennial grass, it is characterized by a high sugar content and is often used in comparative trials as a reference sample for the species Agrostis gigantea.

The plant is intended for inclusion in meadow and pasture grass mixtures. The variety demonstrates adaptability to various conditions, including uplands, and possesses resistance to foliar diseases and low temperatures during the winter period.
