The variety was obtained on the basis of a mutation selected and bred over a number of years. Breeding was conducted with an emphasis on bulb shape, base size, and the quality of the outer scales.
The bulbs are characterized by a very large size, with weights that can reach 2.27 kg. The variety is intended for both exhibition purposes and culinary use due to its mild flavor. There are recommendations for sowing seeds in protected cultivation.
