The Calvera F1 hybrid, also known as T-831 F1, is a long-day plant. The leaves have a dark green color and vertical orientation; the neck is thin and characterized by tight closure, which is convenient for mechanical harvesting.
The bulbs are round in shape, reach a diameter of 6–8 cm, and are covered with a firm yellow skin. The hybrid is distinguished by stress tolerance and adaptability to various weather conditions.
The plant is intended for the fresh market and processing. Cultivation by direct sowing or transplanting is permitted at a recommended planting density of 750,000 to 900,000 plants per hectare.
