The variety was created through selection to combine the qualities of the local Véronique variety and high-yielding IPA-type varieties. It is intended for cultivation in tropical climates, particularly on Reunion Island.
The yield potential is approximately 30 tons per hectare. The dry matter content in the bulbs reaches 15%, which provides better storage indicators compared to high-yielding types of onions.
