There is a variety «Oignon blanc Premier» characterized as an early-maturing variety with small white bulbs; however, no reliable evidence of its status as a generally recognized commercial variety in the Domaine Public category has been found.
In Russia, a bulb onion hybrid with a vegetation period of 115–120 days and dark bronze-colored rounded bulbs is registered under the name «Премьер», but in a number of other catalogs, this name is assigned to leek, which is confirmed by the existence of descriptions of plants with blue-green leaves and a cylindrical shape.
