The plant possesses a powerful root system and large dark green leaves. The bulbs have a rounded or obovate shape, covered with bright red or reddish-brown scales. The inner scales are purple, dense, and crunchy.
The variety is intended for fresh consumption, culinary processing, and canning, and is suitable for long-term storage and transportation. Yield in open field is 40–45 t/ha, and up to 60 t/ha with the use of drip irrigation. The variety is suitable for mechanized harvesting.
The plant is drought-tolerant and possesses immunity to a number of fungal diseases of onion.
