The Rijnsburger variety type is a group of plants with a vigorous dark green leaf apparatus and a well-developed root system. The vegetation period usually ranges from 90 to 120 days. Plant height varies between 40–50 cm, and they are characterized by high resistance to bolting.
The bulbs are characterized by a uniform round or round-cuboid shape, dense structure with a thin neck, and tightly adhering scales. The surface is covered with golden-yellow or bronze-brown dry scales, while the inner scales are white. The produce is versatile in use, suitable for the fresh market, long-term winter storage, and processing.
