The variety is early-maturing; the period from germination to leaf lodging is 100–140 days. The plant is perennial, forms a small cylindrical head and long wide leaves that do not coarsen for a long time. At the spring harvest, the plant mass can reach 0.5 kg.

The variety possesses high frost resistance and is capable of growing in one place for 4 to 6 years. The taste of the leaf is semi-sharp. Intended for fresh consumption, it is valued for the possibility of obtaining early vitamin-rich greens.
