The variety is intended for cultivation for its leaves, which are used in cooking for preparing soups, sauces, salads, and garnishing dishes. Sowing of the crop is recommended to be carried out in March–April or from July to September.

The plant does not form a true bulb, forming only a pseudo-bulb. The variety possesses frost resistance characteristic of this species.
