The plant forms a strong, straight blanched part 20–25 cm long, sometimes reaching 40–50 cm with hilling, and 4–5 cm in diameter. The total plant height is 50–80 cm, with dark green leaves arranged vertically.

The period from emergence to harvest varies from 85–90 to 200 days depending on conditions. The variety is distinguished by strong, upright stems, high winter hardiness, resistance to downy mildew, and tolerance to thrips. The produce is used fresh, in soups, and in vegetable dishes.
