Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is early-maturing, with the period from emergence to harvest being about 85 days. Plant height reaches 70–80 cm. The leaves are flat, gray-green or dark green in color, and arranged in a fan shape. The weight of a single plant is 300–400 g.

The pseudo-stem grows up to 30 cm in length and 3–4 cm in diameter. A feature of the variety is the formation of a blanched part of the stem without mandatory hilling. The plant is characterized by high cold tolerance, stress tolerance to changes in growing conditions, and resistance to a number of fungal diseases.

The leek is intended for cultivation in the open field and film tunnels. The produce is used for fresh market sales, culinary purposes, canning, and processing. In trade catalogs, the variety may be designated as Columbus F1.
