The variety belongs to the early group and is characterized by rapid development. The plant forms blue-green foliage; the growth habit is semi-erect. The stem ("shank") reaches a length of 18–22 cm and has a diameter of about 3 cm.

The variety is heat-tolerant, which allows it to be grown in regions with a warm climate. At the same time, it is relatively sensitive to low temperatures, although it can withstand light frosts. The variety belongs to the public domain and is historically associated with regional French varieties.
