The plant branches strongly, forming dense clumps 30–50 cm in height. The leaves are tubular, awl-shaped, dark green with a slight waxy bloom, 0.5–0.9 cm in diameter and 40–50 cm in length. The variety is characterized by rapid regrowth in spring; the period from the beginning of vegetation to technical maturity is 2.5–3 weeks.

The yield of the variety is high: the leaf weight per plant in the first year is 20–30 g, and in the second year it reaches 200–250 g. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness (USDA zone 3) and disease resistance. It is used as a food crop and honey plant, and thanks to its pink-violet inflorescences, it is suitable for landscape design.
