Tessumheat (commercial name Summer Heat) is a perennial herbaceous plant with an upright bush habit. The large flowers are red and have a characteristic yellow center with dark speckles on the inner petals. Plant height ranges from 60 to 110 cm.
The plant has strong stems and is characterized by long flowering from early summer until the first frosts. The variety exhibits winter hardiness in USDA zones 6a/6b conditions provided there is drainage and cover, and also possesses resistance to Verticillium wilt. Cut flowers retain their decorative quality for several weeks.
