The tree can reach a height of 8–9 meters, has a short trunk and a wide, rounded crown. In a Mediterranean climate, the variety can behave as facultatively evergreen. The plant is adapted to a subtropical climate and is capable of withstanding short-term light frosts.
The variety is self-fertile, however, productivity increases with hand pollination. The fruits have delicate skin prone to damage and a short shelf life of up to 5–7 days. Manual harvesting is recommended when the fruit color changes from pale green to yellowish-green.
The plant requires control of anthracnose, scale insects, mealybugs, and Mediterranean fruit fly. The variety is used in commercial horticulture for local consumption and export, and is also suitable for amateur container cultivation.
