The plant belongs to the small or medium size category. The leaves are narrow-oval or oval in shape with a pointed tip; the upper side is dark green and shows weak rugosity.

The flower has an oval purple-red spathe with a weak or medium degree of glossiness. The spadix is short or of medium length; when mature, it is white or cream-colored at the basal part and purple at the distal part.
