The variety is intended for commercial cultivation for cut flowers. During comparative morphological studies, the dimensions of the inflorescence spathe were recorded, which are 8.9 by 8.6 cm.

Data on the yield of the variety in comparative agronomic studies indicate that Alexis is inferior to some other popular commercial varieties in the number of peduncles obtained from one plant.
