The plant is characterized by a compact and stocky growth habit. The variety forms dark green leaves and a large number of very thin, aromatic stalks.

The variety is traditional and intended for cultivation in protected ground conditions under glass. In reference literature, it may be mentioned as a synonym for the Amsterdamse Donkergroene or Amsterdamse Fijne Donkergroene varieties.
