Information about the «Amszterdam Struik» variety as a standalone stalk celery does not exist. In official registers, the variety is mentioned in lists of Apium graveolens, however, data confirming its classification as a stalk celery variety (var. dulce) are absent.

The leaf celery variety «Амстердам» is common on the seed market. It is characterized by high yield and resistance to bolting. The plant forms dark green aromatic leaves that actively regrow after cutting, and the petioles of this variety are thin and short.

This variety is intended for fresh use, drying, canning, and as a culinary spice. It should not be confused with full-fledged stalk celery varieties grown for their fleshy stems, due to the distinct leaf-type specificity of the crop.
