The Painted Lady variety belongs to the Aster novi-belgii group and is specifically adapted for use as a cut flower crop. It is distinguished by high viability, good flower quality, and disease resistance, which makes it sought after on the international flower market.

The plant reaches a height of about 70–80 cm; under specific growing conditions, it can reach 90 cm. The flowers have a characteristic pink color.
