The Suncarlo variety belongs to the Universum group and is often classified as a heath aster (Aster ericoides). The plant possesses dark green linear leaves with serrated edges; inflorescences are simple monochromatic heads.
The plant is intended for use as a cut flower crop, suitable for use in fresh and dried form. It is characterized by relative undemanding nature, prefers sunny areas and well-drained soils. From the second year after planting, the plant can form up to 8–10 stems.
